The Well-Balanced Child

Something in a comment at Q's place just set me to thinking. It had to do with being odd. Let's consider the evolution of me. I am my mother's youngest child, my father's middle child and the only child they produced together. This means that, in the various households I've lived in between birth and 18 years of age, I was the youngest child, the oldest child, the middle child, the step-child and the only child. I have all the syndromes. In light of that I submit that I am not odd, I am one of the few well-balanced people living today. It is the rest of you who are odd. myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics Curves -- Day 2 --stretch in --twice around the outside --stretch out

Oh dear, Q -- you are quite correct. Both of us have the Q thing going .....it wasn't you! Oh well, the comments still prompted the thoughts that lead to this post (proves my point though, you are the odd one, not me!).

Huh???

Hi Charlene, not sure if this is humourous error as a result of speed reading, but what comment are you referring to - do you mean the comment by Rae Ann? where she uses the word oddness.

Anyway, thanks for the reference on your post. You know all publicity is 'good' publicity. lol!

I have always considered being called odd a compliment. So thanks, Quilly.

As a sipling of yours from one of those households, and a foster parent of yours from another of those many homes you dwelled in, I can attest to the notion that all others are the odd ones out. And that one concept (along with My Saviour's death & resurrection) have been my salvation as well. (So........are we both so very, very far from odd........or?)
hmmm...at any rate we are both 2 of the very most grounded, capable, secure people I know!! and Happiest!! Love you, C

I dunno, like Nessa, I've always like being considered odd and weird. That way I can be as eccentric as I want to and everybody just accepts that as me.

Congrats on the second day.

I like the Curves cartoon.....cute! i have always thought I was odd but yet I sometimes think I am the only one with common sense around here. As I have gotten older, I appreciate other people's uniqueness more and more.

So let's see... I have my 2 favorite aunts and mom saying they're all normal... Who do you suppose I would be in the most trouble with if I disagreed with them? I love you my favorite tia, my other favorite Auntie C, and mama. :)
